Lisa
I have been sewing since I was 13 when my mom gave me the choice of spending my own money on new clothes or making them. Back then the shop was called Stretch & Sew and was owned by my parents, Jeanne and Dick. Ever since then I have been an avid garment sewer and have a serious addiction to fabric. I have developed an appreciation for the art of quilting and love those fabrics as well. As the owner of Sew Creative I feel fortunate to be able to make a living working with a wonderful group of people and having customers that are such a pleasure. My greatest hope is that we can encourage people to embrace their creativity and find happiness in their sewing

Pat
Pat is the most avid quilter I have ever met. When she joined the Sew Creative team 3 years ago it took her a minute to adjust to our style but I cannot imagine our shop without her now. Pat has more energy than 10 women half her age and a story for every occasion to make you laugh. If you have a quilting question Pat is your woman, she literally quilts morning, noon and night. In addition to quilting, Pat loves her kitty Peanut, watching the cardinals outside her window and keeping her Etsy shop well stocked.

Maria
Maria is a life long crafter. Her love and interest in creating started after many long hours as a young girl spent with her Aunt Mimi. Prior to joining Sew Creative she had a long career in education as a special education and pre-school teacher. In her 3 ½ years at Sew Creative she has found joy in teaching the children’s classes while remaining a student herself, broadening her knowledge of all things sewing. Other than sewing up a storm, Maria enjoys knitting, cooking, gardening and perusing Pinterest for DIY ideas and spending time with her 5 children, daughter-in-law and husband.
Annette
The newest member of our staff learned to love quilting when she would tie quilts with her Grandma at Loon Lake. In 4H she won blue ribbons for her garment sewing. Since moving to Penfield in 1983 Annette has raised her family while being part of the local sewing community including being an avid modern quilter. Annette manages the longarm rental part of our business and takes great joy in helping people see their projects to completion. She also loves to assist customers with their fabric selections and is always looking for new projects and products to share with our customers.

Linda
Linda is the veteran staff member, approaching 15 years since I lured her in after she attended a class at the shop. Linda has been sewing since she was 10 and went to sewing summer camp with her sister. She was a needlework enthusiast until she discovered the joy of machine embroidery. Linda is our resident problem solver when it comes to embroidery and software. She is always sending us fun new ideas and posts of interest. Linda has 3 grown children and 3 beautiful grandchildren that love her embroidered gifts and custom costumes. Her newest addition to the family is the furry kind, a beautiful and mischievous puppy named Sonny.

Mary is our resident garment fitting and sewing instructor. She is the manager of the costume shop at Nazareth College and works with the local theaters as well. Mary has a BFA in costume construction and in her spare time she loves to create period dresses just for fun. She is also a certified instructor for the Palmer Pletsch fit method. She is glad to help with all your fashion sewing and fit issues. Mary also has 4 grown children and a husband that loves to cook. As a fellow fabricaholic Mary was a great addition to our staff.

Betty
Betty has been working at Sew Creative over 10 years.
She has been a garment sewer since she was 10 years old. Since then she has added serging, machine embroidery and home dec to her repertoire. She loves learning and sharing her knowledge. Betty loves spending her time with family especially seeing her son in law’s band play and hanging out with her grandson!
